National Novel Writing Month is, roughly, a month away. It starts the first of November. I’ve participated in NaNoWriMo for a number of years but haven’t reached that 50,000 word goal. This year, I’m cheating.
You may ask: Why would you do that? Why not just try to discipline yourself?
Because I couldn’t do it for the past however many years. Something needs to change. I’m going to use NaNoWriMo to type up what I’ve hand written. I’ve so far hand wrote 51 pages. I don’t know how many words that is. From the size of my handwriting…probably less than 10,000. However, that’s 10,000 words I wouldn’t have if I didn’t handwrite.
So, if you find yourself wanting a partner in the adventure that is NaNoWriMo, I’m here! I’ll bring the pom poms and words of encouragement!
